Kai Henifin is a Cultural Ecologist and GISAnalyst who joined the Conservation Biology Institute in January 2008. Before becoming part of the CBI team, shespent three years working with communities in Western Alaska to map areas of cultural and ecological significance. In2006, Kai graduated from Oregon State Universitywith a Master’s in Applied Environmental Anthropology and received a GraduateCertificate in Geographic Information Sciences. Currently she manages the CBIProtected Areas Database (PAD) and coordinates outreach to community basedmapping groups for the Data Basin project.
