New CBI Memberships
I can’t believe CBI will turn 15 this fall. These past years have been filled with lots of hard work by a growing number of incredibly talented and dedicated people who share a passion for wanting to make a positive difference in the world. CBI and its staff have won numerous awards for excellence as we have expanded our work beyond the US to include many other parts of the world.
Through the application of high-quality science, we have had many successes over the years – protecting special places like the Tejon Ranch in central California; developing strategies to support species from endangered plants to pandas; developing foundational datasets and new analytical tools to advance conservation throughout the world; incorporating climate change into conservation planning; and developing the most innovative conservation data sharing system to date through our Data Basin project.
CBI has never been a large organization (we currently have 30 staff). People I talk to are often shocked to learn about our size. They were certain CBI had an army of a hundred or more given the breadth, depth, and volume of our work – I invite you to explore our website for examples.
As we plan for the next 15 years and beyond, we are inviting YOU to join CBI as a member to help us in our mission to save this planet through the application of the best science possible. We don’t have fancy tote bags or calendars to offer, however, as a member you will receive –
- Quarterly e-newsletter providing an insider’s view to CBI successes and activities
- Invitations to member-only CBI webinars and presentations by our staff about their work and current conservation issues
- Quarterly drawings for books, maps, or other special gift items
Please consider joining CBI today. With mounting pressures on the life of this planet, science is needed now more than ever. We have so much more to do together, time is of the essence, and your support will be directly applied to getting the job done.
