SCGIS Webinar: Landscape Climate Dashboard: Future Climate and Protected Areas in the West

Kai Foster, Project Manager at Conservation Biology Institute, presents on how future climate data has been summarized by protected areas in the Western United States. This webinar will give an introductory tour of the Landscape Climate Dashboard (www.climatedashboard.org), a visualization tool developed to explore projected climate futures, soil sensitivity and future potential vegetation shifts for federally and tribally protected lands in the Western US. The geographies featured in this tool covered four contiguous Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (including California, North Pacific, Great Northern and Great Basin). The tour will include the goals of the viewer, the collaborative development process and how to explore the data using the tool. A 30-40 minute presentation will be followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion.
