The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) contracted with CBI to provide support their work in two main areas, which resulted in two special visualization tools and a new Data Basin Gateway.
The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) contracted with CBI to provide support their work in two main areas, which resulted in two special visualization tools and a new Data Basin Gateway. The first customized viewer was designed to display SGC-funded grants over the last few years. Users can review all SGC project investments; filter by specific project types or by area; and find relevant spatial data for ongoing work. The second component of the work was to conduct a review of a sample of the major conservation planning efforts carried out in California. Of the ~160 plans reviewed, 121 of them were included in an online viewer that can be viewed, filtered, and queried. Users can select specific ecoregions for details and filter on one or more criteria. Numerous spatial datasets are also organized to support future conservation planning work.
