CBI is working closely with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and some of their regional partners to create and maintain a Data Basin Gateway that focuses on the Cook Inlet and Kodiak regions of Alaska. Spatial data focal categories include, but are not limited to: Habitat and Wildlife, Physical Environments, Jurisdictions and Boundaries, and Development and Human Uses. The region is largely defined by the marine environments, but also includes the surrounding land masses. In addition to the typical curation of available spatial data and system features to explore, map, save, and share content, the gateway will also be connected to an extensive Card Catalog being managed by Alaska Fish and Game pertaining to the available research and monitoring results conducted in the region over time.
